Share your household chore-hacks!
Hey everyone, hope your doing well and are able to somewhat enjoy the busy times around the holidays (have you put up decorations yet?) I was thinking- what are some good hacks to trick the mind into thinking doing the household chores is actually fun?? Feel free to share your tips and get-around tricks, maybe even super smart hacks (may be talking rubbish here) So..what I got so far -> My closest thought was to tell yourself- since most likely household stuff is a work task not paid with money and thus not as appealing to check off the list (since nobody is pressuring us to get it done except for the chaos and discomfort that grows if chores are neglected..) and on the other hand it isn’t a fun activity like getting lost on the internet by watching/reading interesting stuff. So would it be enough already to set up a custom currency so to say with individual rewards for any task you are usually procrastinating on… For me, a thing I like to push away is to do house cleaning (although I love the result and in general, have high standards considering cleanliness?! Maybe this os some weird psychological phenomenon though that is deeper than it is presented at first glance..) Looking forward to your advice ❣️

SOMETIMES it works for me to make kind of a challenge. Pick a room like kitchen and set a timer for 10 minutes or something short and race to see how much you can get done in that time period. This makes it a bit fun for me, it’s efficient and sometimes the timer goes off and I just continue cleaning, because starting was the hardest part.
