Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
Numo ADHD ("Numo") is a wellness and self-management application for adults with ADHD. We take your privacy seriously — especially because some of the information you share with us is sensitive: it relates to your mental health, attention patterns, and daily challenges.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Numo Service (our website, mobile app, journal, community, and ADHD tools), how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
- Company: Mindist, Inc.
- Address: 2810 N Church St, Wilmington, DE, USA
- Email: help@numo.ai
Your acceptance of this Policy applies to general data collection described herein. Where we process special category data — specifically your ADHD assessment responses and health-related onboarding data — we obtain your explicit, separate consent as required by GDPR Article 9. This consent is requested during onboarding and can be withdrawn at any time from your account settings. General use of the Numo Service does not constitute consent to health data processing.
2. What Numo Is — And What It Is Not
Numo is a wellness and self-management application. It is not a medical service. The information you provide — including responses to ADHD self-assessments, onboarding questions, and exercises — is used to personalize your experience within the app. It is not used to produce a clinical diagnosis, is not reviewed by a physician, and does not constitute medical advice.
ADHD self-assessments within Numo are screening tools designed for self-reflection and educational purposes only. If you have concerns about your mental health or ADHD symptoms, please consult a licensed healthcare professional.
3. Grounds for Processing Your Information
The processing of your Personal Information is necessary:
- To fulfill our contractual obligations to you and provide the Numo Service.
- To protect our legitimate business interests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- Subject to your consent for specific processing activities (such as marketing communications).
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Account Information
- Name and email address
- Username and password
- Payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details)
4.2 Usage Data
- Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
- Log data: pages viewed, features used, access times
- Approximate location based on IP address
4.3 Onboarding and Assessment Data
What we collect: When you complete the onboarding process or use ADHD-related tools within Numo, we collect your responses. This includes challenges you identify, routines you describe, and results from ADHD self-assessments.
How we use it: This data is used to personalize your experience in the app — for example, to suggest relevant exercises or content. ADHD assessment results are also stored in aggregate for analytical purposes.
What it is not: This data does not constitute a clinical evaluation. Numo does not share your individual assessment results with healthcare providers, insurers, or employers.
Health data classification: Responses to ADHD assessments and health-related onboarding questions constitute special category personal data under GDPR Article 9 and sensitive personal information under applicable US state privacy laws. We collect this data only with your explicit, separate consent — not implied from general app usage. You may withdraw this consent at any time from your account settings, which will stop further collection but will not affect data already processed.
We do not use health data for advertising, profiling for third-party purposes, or any purpose beyond personalizing your Numo experience and improving the Service in aggregate, anonymized form.
4.4 Community Content
Content you post in the Tribe community is public by default and may be indexed by search engines and AI systems. We strongly recommend not sharing personally identifying health information in public community posts.
Community content is user-generated and has not been medically reviewed. Posts and shared experiences from other Numo users represent personal perspectives — not medical advice or clinical guidance. Do not make health decisions based on community content alone.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Numo Service: deliver features, exercises, journal content, and community access
- Personalize your experience: suggest relevant tools and content based on your onboarding responses
- Improve the Service: analyze aggregate usage patterns to make Numo better
- Communicate with you: respond to support requests and send service updates (subject to your preferences)
- Ensure safety and compliance: detect misuse and comply with applicable laws
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without your knowledge.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate Numo — including hosting providers, analytics tools, and customer support platforms. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide services to us. We do not share your ADHD self-assessment responses or health-related onboarding data with third-party analytics or advertising providers; such data is processed only by the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the Service.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Numo's assets, your data may transfer to a successor entity. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, understand how the Numo Service is used, and improve performance. Cookies do not store sensitive personal information such as ADHD assessment results.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Numo Service.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Numo Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data — including onboarding responses and ADHD self-assessment results — from active systems, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You may also request deletion of your assessment data specifically, at any time, from your account settings or by contacting us at help@numo.ai. Some aggregate or anonymized data that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytical purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Numo is operated from the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection law through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved mechanisms.
10. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time from your account settings without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@numo.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11. California Residents
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
To exercise California privacy rights, contact us at help@numo.ai.
12. Security and Breach Notification
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach affecting your health-related information, we will notify you as required by applicable law — including the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule (as updated in 2024), which specifically covers health data collected by apps and connected devices. Notification will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at help@numo.ai.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Numo Service or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect (or sooner where required by law or for security reasons). The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
