TURTLE MODE

When I feel Completely Overwhelmed by a project to which I have committed myself (either privately or publicly), I retract into what I call "turtle Mode." I tuck myself safely into my little shell and only allow my dog in.. Not in but very close.z Phone on silent. No email, no outside world. Just safe old movies with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Grass is green and beautiful. Sky is blue. Everything moves at a peaceful pace and all is right with the world. Below, I have created my first poll. I did not know how to add this so I will ask it here: IF YOU ANSWER "YES" AND YOU ARE COMFORTABLE SHARING, Please tell me more. 😊🙏🍿

While I don’t enter “hiding in my shell,“ I do tend to just completely slow down and allow myself to become distracted by anything and everything else not related to the tasks that I have committed myself to. This is a huge reason why I agreed to my husband, to step back with my career in photography, because it is way too much to handle by myself. I now am too overwhelmed with cleaning up my daily clutter, and my “over a lifetime of hoarding” clutter, working part-time at a physically, mentally, and emotionally draining job, taking care of my cat (my babyyyy), and also trying to take care of myself, I find anything else that I am demanded of to do, to just overwhelmingly be too much. My phone and my time blindness do not help me.
